Is located some 22 kilometres (14 miles) from L’Estartit and is the capital of the Baix Empordá as well as the pottery center in Catalonia. Here you can find different points of interest such as: the castle Castillo-Palacio Medieval (XI AD), the Puente-Viejo (medieval bridge, XVIII AD), the Portal de la Riera, the Calle del Call, the Plaza Mayor, and the parish church dedicated to Santa Mariá with its bell tower of more than 50 meters (55 yards) height.
